For those interested in reading Scripture in private and family worship, as well as memorizing the Westminster Shorter Catechism, and singing through the Scottish Psalter (selections from the Comprehensive Psalter), the plan I have prepared goes through the following for 2024 (and will have a companion plan for 2025):
Two chapters of Scripture per day in private worship (getting through the New Testament and Psalms once, and half the Old Testament);
Two chapters of Scripture per day in family worship (getting through the New Testament and Psalms once, and half the Old Testament);
One Westminster Shorter Catechism question memorization per week (getting through roughly the first half of the catechism);
Singing three Psalm selections per week (getting through roughly the first half of the Psalter).
2025 will finish the other half of the Old Testament for private and family worship, complete the catechism and psalter.
