Discipleship

Although public worship is the primary means of building up the body of Christ, we also believe that each believer is to engage in personal worship, and that families are to engage in family worship. It is our aim that all members shall be continuously feeding themselves from the Word of God, and communing with God by meditation and prayer, augmenting the spiritual usefulness and effectiveness of the public worship.

Moreover, our church has bequeathed to us a short summary of Bible faith and practice, known as the Westminster Shorter Catechism, which we believe is a sound introductory summary of the Christian faith and the duties God requires of us. We consider it the duty of each believer, and especially of masters of families to see to the instruction of all those under their care and authority in the doctrines of Scripture primarily, but secondarily in this hand-book of Christian faith and duty.
